HAPPY 2008!

Dear all,

In spite of my absolute negligence of this blog, the statistics show that there are still some authentic visitors to my site. I am happy about that, but at the same time feel guilty as well. Don't want to stand up with a New Year resolution here of promising blah..blah; nevertheless, I will do the much needed justice to this blog space. Last but not least,

WISH U ALL A VERY HAPPY AND SPECTACULAR NEW YEAR!

May peace prevail on Earth!

God bless!

This years Onam celebrations at Yokohama Nishi Center went on well. A variety of programs in the form of dance(traditional, semi-classical, cinematic), short skits, cute performances from kids and ofcourse the onasadya were some of the highlights of this memorable day. Cheers to the organizers for making it yet an another wonderful event.

Updates...

  • Looks like the summer in Tokyo is over atlast..All of a sudden the mercury level has taken a dip and it has been raining for the past two days..
  • Mallus here will celebrate this years Onam on Sept 16th at Nishi Center, Yokohama. Along with the culturals, we will be having the most awaited event: Onasadya :)
  • Japan is going to elect a new primeminister on 20th of this month. All the three probables are in the media limelight and they often show up in the talk shows. I am not impressed with any of these guys. Asusual they do the blah-blah stuff, but none of them come out with concrete long term solutions for the issues that are nagging this country. Personally, I feel Mr.Ishihara Shintaro, the present Governor of Tokyo should be an ideal canditate who has got the vision and knows what he is capable of.
  • Too many drunken driving, accidents and killing offlate. The Japanese police are under pressure and they are on a raid now.
  • Matsui is back to MLB for NewYork Yankees. A standing ovation and responding with four hits. Great way to make a comeback!

Tomioka Hachimangu shrine

P1010011Had been to the Shinto shrine "Tomioka Hachimangu" on  New Year. Visiting a shrine on  a New Year day is called "Hatsumodea" in Japanese. This shrine was not much crowded  unlike  Sensoji in Asakusa and Meiji Jingu in Harajuku , the two most famous shrines in Tokyo.

HAPPY 2006

"WISH YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY NEWYEAR"

Have a  wonderful year ahead.
Praying for World Peace.

was intermittent with my posts in 2005. would love to make up for it in this great year of 2006. I don't want this to be one of my NY resolutions, as you know the raw deal that most of the resolutions get with.
